WMM Errors, Delays, Audio Problems, And Frusterations.

Post by Bargadiel » Mon Sep 03, 2007 2:30 pm

Alright...I have been making videos for a long time now, and I used to never encounter problems with WMM...However, starting about 5 months ago, it seems to be getting worse and worse each time I use it.

1. When I play a clip on the time line, and try to pause/replay it, it DOES not and WILL not play anything on the time line again until I just delete the time line all together and put new clips on it....

2. When I play a song on the time line with video, then pause/rewind it. It plays the song from a different time, not matching the way I intended it to. Meaning I have to play the video from the beginning each time to time the music without pausing. However, when I save the movie file, the song is timed correctly, it just makes it VERY INCONVEINIANT to edit.

3. When trying to play the time line period....after awhile, WMM just crashes. I cannot make AMVs until this is all fixed.

These are the worst of the problems, and I would really appreciate it if someone could give me advice on how to fix, or answers regarding these issues.

I don't know about the other 2 but I can answer #3: the crashes are just a part of WMM, it happens all the time and no way to fix it.

Also, your sig is too big.

#1

What kind of clips you're using? Sure you know already that you shouldn't be using DivX or XviD compressed clips?

#2

This used to happen to me when I was trying to edit by using a downloaded .mp3 compressed song. Use lossless WAV files ripped off your CDs as your audio. Or then you can just convert the song you're using.

#3

Crashes are WMM's way to express its very own existance. Unfortunately you'll just have to get used to it. It's the only answer you'll get from me

Yes yes It seems to crash alot now. Never did it awhile back.

But, I do use Divx, with an awareness that it is not compatible. The music Problem I can most likely fix with time, its the halt of clip playback that really gets to me. How do you think I can solve the Divx problem? I downloaded AVi Synth, I suppose this can fix such a problem...Or..?
