I'm trying to do some light editing for .avi files. Nothing fancy, just cutting, copying and pasting certain of the video around to other videos, and maybe posting a youtube video somewhere within.
The only program I know how to do this with is Windows Movie Maker, but it works really slow. I want something similar to it, easy to operate, that works much faster.
What is the -easiest- program I can find that enables me to do this without too much difficulty?

Re: Video editing program
The slowness could be due to the codec you are using. If you convert your sources to a fast lossless codec, like UTVideo, you might experience better performance. The file size will be much larger but it's usually worth the hassle.

You can try to use AV Video Morpher (search it on google)
This software can play video in AVI and support you cut and edit video
You can make your own video clips more easily
I think it's helpful for your purpose
Good luck!

Sony Vegas or Adobe premiere are the next logical step up.
