And, I guess I should be well aware I'm gonna haveta use a LOTTTT of money. Eh...tho some ppl say that it's totally worth it, I still don't quite know. Erm, I guess....

how about Print Shop Deluxe? Anyone heard of that? Ohh and um tamashii, i love that avatar! The Wired Knight, you did a great job on it!
He never did me a great job ( it was intended for someone else ), I was lucky enough to find it. Now that I know who did it I can give him credit.

THANK YOU Wired Knight.

Also I'm glad you like it, to bad I can only use it for 18 (right?) more days. :( But I have plenty backup Asuka avatars to use.

Oh and for a painting program I would say the following:

1. Adobe Photoshop 7 ( Thats what I have, truely kicks paint shop pro's ass in the text department or so I think )
2. Adobe PhotoDeluxe Business Edition ( Newest version ) Its kind of different from photoshop but I think photoshops still better.
3. Paintshop Pro is like photoshop only with less features, some say its easier but I don't know they both seem pretty strait foward to me.

Oh and "Is it worth it." Well its more of a question of how much are you going to be into amv making. As for the program itself you can't ask if it's worth it because premiere is the best. Some may disagree but I think so. So its not like getting a image editing program where there is more than one to choose from and saying is photoshop worth the money or should I buy something else? Because there is more than one good image editing program ( Out of the ones I've tried I would still say photoshop is the best ) unlike premiere which is the best. So ask yourself 'Is this something I'm going to put some effort into and try to do my best" or "Is this a hooby that will be to frustrating at the begining, so I'm just give up." ( Then a lot of money is lost on something you don't like doing ). And also don't end up buying the program and using it just so you get your money's woth even tho you may not like it. Here's my advice to you. Go to www.adobe.com and download the 30 day trial of premiere 6. Work with it and see how it goes and see whether or not you enjoy it and making amv's. Then if you feel confident enough go out and buy premiere 6.5 if you have the cash. I hoped this helped you.

If you are strapped for cash, instead of Photoshop you can always download GIMP. It's powerful and, best of all, FREE!!!! Also, Film GIMP for Windows will supposed be released soon (if the Film GIMP timeline is correct, it'll be available by the end of January). All I know is that if Film GIMP is good enough for Harry Potter, it's good enough for you too! Again, FREEEEEEEEE!! God bless Open Source, even if the Linux community is comprised almost entirely of assh*les.

Gimp is pretty nice and does feature may things that Photoshop offers, but the interface for Win32 is pretty bad since they use some sorta of widgets library or something >_< it's a "non-standard" win32 interface.

I started with virtual dub (www.virtualdub.org) with it you can cut up episodes you rip from dvd or d/l (NOT SUGGESTED) but it doesn't have any effects... well that's what I thought at first ;-p actually it does have fx makers (called filters or plugins I ferget...) and their quite good! only not nearly as easy to do as premier. VDub doesn't have a timeline and that's REALLY usefull but with a stopwatch and a little noggin you can do VERY nicely (for instance fade to black, use the fade and a black clip! white visa versa green? there's a delay timer in there to, somewhere). Anyway if you don't wanna spend $$. (well you can get the Premier demo for free)

Irfanview (and Paint) is a good free image maker. Also remember though premier/ photoshop retails for more you may be able to get it for a better deal than the others cuz it's popular.

Prius really isn't helpfull really ;-p
