AX AMV 2007 Tech / SFX Prize
Hey guys! Is this my first post on the forum? After all these years, you've finally lured me in.
I want to congratulate Jay Naling for his video, Skittles, which won my $100 Tech / SFX prize this year. My team selected Matt Bortof's Expendable Innocence as our Runner-Up. It was my second year giving out the prize and we had a lot of fun. Special thanks to James for giving us a private showing to make our decisions (we are all exhibitors, and could not make the Sunday showing).
The quality of the AMV's this year was exceptional; they were a joy to watch and a joy to judge. It was a pleasure to meet some of you (Brad, Isaac, Nic and Ben) on Friday night and I look forward to seeing you guys again next year.
I'd like to make James and Katy a card and a plaque next year for their signing off present. If possible, I'd like to arrange for the creators to sign the card on the night of the AMV's at AX2K8, and I will present the prize and plaque on stage at the conclusion of the AMV's. I'll arrange the details, just let me know if you all wouldn't mind that (and don't tell James or Katy!)
Keep up the great work guys and see you next year!

Haha, I felt bad for Castor. When James noted taht there was no name on the proxy slot he asked if anyone knew you and a TON of hands went up in the air so you had to be contacted before Castor coudl get permission to take the $100.Koopiskeva wrote:Ahhh... I was really intrigued about what that cash prize was all about (James had called me to let me know I won at AX). Thank you! : ]
PS - I'd sign that card, but I'm not an AX attendee. :\

PLease assist a fellow fan
the posters here are well wired into what happened at AX 07 and so I was hoping to see if any of you had files for or access to information regarding the uploading of Amitie (AMTV category, Utena w/tori amos - raspberry swirl). The information is nowhere to be found in the threads or the site so far and I really fear that it might fall to obscurity. Please repost here or pm me if you can help at all. Along with State of Humanity, im sure as creators and supporters, you'd also like to keep great works above the water so to speak.
If this post is out of line please feel free to move or delete it as needed, but try to respond in some way as well.
I again thank you all for your time and all your hard work over the years.
