MikomiCon 07 AGMV contest

Hey all you creators out there. This convention is back with a contest for your participation pleasure.

Due date is August 20th, 2007 (just graduated so I could post the rules sooner, sorry)

AGMV stands for Anime Game Music Video. We are talking this approach because many contest specify only anime thus Anime Music Video contest. Many contests also receive Video Game Music Videos. Some Contests allow these videos into the contest and break their own rules which annoy some creators. We have specified in our rules that both AMVs and VGMVs will be allowed.

We hope that many creators will enter and that we can have a great contest and tell your friends in the Los Angeles area to check out our convention and see our contest.

I wasn't able to find out where the contest was being screened last year.

I was going to enter, but I haven't had the chance to make anything new since AX.

8. Any video that has won a prior award is ineligible for entry.

The contest is being held on the campus of California State University, Northridge. Here are directions if you need them: http://www.mikomicon.com/Loc.php. The screening will be in the US theater (big screen, stadium seating, surround sound).

As long as it didn't win a "Best of" award, then it is still eligible.

Also, I have not received any entries and this is the first question for the contest that I have received.

Please creators, send in some entries. If there are not enough entries, then the contest will be canceled and won't be re-instated. I don't want to see the MikomiCon AGMV contest to die so I really need the help of the all creators. All prizes will be shipped to those who cannot attend as I had done last year and the final prize is the open prize.

Please, Please, Please help me keep this contest alive. If there is anything I can do to help, please contact me either through PM or my email, agmv@mikomicon.com.

The deadline for entries is 4 days. Please help MikomiCon to continue to have an AGMV contest.

As far as I know we're still taking entries due to a mail server error (we weren't getting emails).

I'm supprised you haven't been attacked by epical entries considering the video game footage allowances.

I forgot to remind everyone so submissions will be cut off at 6 pm Aug 28 PST.

I have about 6 to 8 entries currently and hope to get many last minutes. As long as you send me a message about entering, then I will consider it valid.
