No theme this year. Considering the OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF ENTRANTS we had for the DDR theme (see: one), I decided we'd keep it generic this year.

meleechampion: As for WTF, you don't NEED to make the source quality crappy. If that's the point of your AMV, then go for it, but if you'd rather take the crap in a whole different predictable and painful direction then by all means go for it!

Essentially it boils down to: Make fun of bad AMVs. What kind of bad AMV you choose to make fun of is up to you. We also very much enjoy videos that we watch and then have to say "WTF was THAT?" just in terms of pure weirdness.

And in WTF we consider that to be a win. :)

Well, I've decided I'm going no matter what.

Anyway, I am still waiting the the last 2 region 2 videos to arrive from Japan so I can finish this video ....

If you want me to run a panel this year again, just drop me a line.

Hell, I boo'd my own video right along with the rest of the crowd. Should I do another Konoha is walking video? I have a feeling people will realize that I am a one trick pony if I keep making those.

And I was expecting a lot more to enter for the theme last year... :(

I'm going to try and enter both contests this year. I'm still deciding if I want to send my Comedy or Drama entry for the AMV contest. If I'm motivated enough to edit and finish the Comedy entry before the deadline, I'll send that in. If not, Drama.

As for the WTF, my entry is about halfway done... (And it doesn't involve an overused ninja-fight-scene set to an overused song.)

Hey all, just a reminder that the deadline for AMV contest entries is coming up fast! Postmark your entries by 3/3 (MONDAY).

Right now I only have four entries received. You guys slacking this year or what? :P

As always, contest details are available here.

I just noticed that I put March 2nd in the original post when in actuality it's the 3rd. So you even have a bonus day!

I dropped my entry in the mail today. Please, let me know if there are any problems. As for WTF, I was thinking of using Nancy Sinatra this year  and maybe a little bit of something else as well.

Will do, thanks! If you sent via a trackable method there will likely be a short delay between when your entry arrives and when I receive it/notify you. I pick up the entries at our staff meetings and the next one of those isn't until mid-March.
