Nekocon IX's AMV Contest kicks it up a notch! (11-7-08)

Nekocon is proud to announce their eleventh AMV contest this year in Hampton, Virginia. We've delivered great, funny, and cutting edge videos in the past and we don't plan on stopping yet! This year we're kicking things up a notch or two.

First, take a look at our updated contest rules. Some of the categories have shifted to keep up with the times, so make sure your video gets entered properly! Additionally, the list of awards for Fan Favorite, third place, second place, and first place winners has been updated with over $500.00 worth of prizes to take home!

Also, we're holding a "side-contest". The video that matches closest with our Tropical Luau theme this year (as determined by our judges' panel) will take home an additional $50.00 gift card to Best Buy!

Is the side contest a part of the contest? And can I win both prizes for the same AMV?

Are there any limitations regarding where the prizes can be shipped to?

The side contest is completely seperate. You can win both prizes for the same AMV. So you could conceivably win first place for your video, and win the side contest for the same entry and walk away with $150.00.

There's no limit where the prizes can be shipped to. The AMV staff would have to get with you to finalize shipping arrangements, which is why we ask for contact information with your submissions.
