Hello there people, We are a new group called Sensei AMV Studios and we plan to host lots of AMV Contests on you tube! we plan to hold 1 amv contest every month and hopefully start gaining people who will take part in them as we grow bigger

Hey there! I looked at the AMV Contest page, but only saw rule #6 listed...is there a full list of the rules somewhere?

what if someone makes a non-effects video and submits it... is it automatically a wmm video in your eyes just because there are no effects?

plus why is wmm so hated? you can make good videos on it.... I've seen good videos made with wmm... :/ its cruel and heartless to leave out good editors...

it's the people who make the video not the program.

without effects, their amv would stand no chance, since one of the area's judged is effects, they'd lose out big time just trying to be smart like that

and I see your point, there are people dead-set against using movie maker, I dont see the down-sides of it other than how limited it may be, we're trying to make the contest more fair because it would be way too unfair for people to stand a chance in an amv contest when up against AMVs that have been made with more professional programs such as sony vegas and adobe premiere when only they've used movie maker.

plus a real amv maker would win it anyway I reckon, a chance to show you can win using the simplest program
