135 entries? AX had about 135 entries in this year, so in terms of how big the competition is it's pretty much the same.
Well its getting close I bet (in terms of a list being released).
I'm like so ugh over my AMV right now, so many frame defects and the reuse of the same effects. Seriously it makes me wonder why they even showed it at the AX AMV Contest Preshow, I really wanna tear my hair out right now. lol
Good luck on everyone in making it in

That it do. Good job on your vid as well.Davis 51 wrote:I wasn't at the prescreening, but if your video was the one on your profile, I have to say good job! That worked surprisingly well. Mine was also trailer, so we're probably in the same boat.Silk_SK wrote:My first contest ever. Having one of the trailer parodies in a sea of music videos probably helped I hope. I'd imagine that with so few of them they may have stood out more during the long, arduous pre-screenings.
Having only 5 competitors also helps.

I'm not going to say it was perfect. But it was a good concept. Could've been better but it worked.Davis 51 wrote:Oh, so someone outside my friend circle actually liked it?Silk_SK wrote:That it do. i was torn on how to classify my video, maybe vicbond or amv staff reclassified it providing i put my entry in the right catagory. am not sure what to expect as my amv was kind of two catagories at the same time.Sonydjsnmix wrote:Darn it!!!! Reading all these "I did this wrong" post is making me starting to regret putting mine in the Drama category instead of the Sentimental. *bangs head* My guts are saying I would have had more of a chance in the Sentimental...
atleast you aren't the only one unsure about this stuff...right?

There's kind of a problem with the Sentimental category though. It's coupled with Romance. Now, this isn't ALWAYS the case, but more often than not, when the audience views this category, they will typically vote for the best romance video. Quite honestly a good number of them probably don't really know what sentimental really means. So yeah, it's always a tough sell for sentimental videos in that category.

Please see your PMs.Junipertay wrote:I honestly think this is the most excited I've been to find out whether or not my vid made it into Otakon's contest since I started submitting three years ago! And strangely enough, if it didn't make it in, I am *SO* looking forward to seeing my score, and (if possible) any comments (insults) that were attached to my vid.
Yeah I feel like you, though unsure if it was action or drama...but I don't think think that's gonna matter at this point anyway.Sonydjsnmix wrote:Darn it!!!!
