If I recall correctly, all of the trailers were very well received. I think everyone chuckled with the "it's like some super-advanced robot. It's probably Japanese" line. :P

Here's hoping more than one of the comedy category gets hosted up soon for those of use that missed the contest. Hearing about them secondhand is so depressing. :(

Silk_SK, personally, I enjoyed yours the most. You chose the scenes you used masterfully. Renton, especially the scene where he says they're probably Japanese, just took the cake, just like in the original trailer, and I remember hearing plenty of laughter, including from one of my normally stoic friends (although he's a big Eureka 7 fan, so that may have something to do with it). I think you did the best in the Trailer competition, an exceptional job of matching scenes to the trailer and matching mouth movement to lines spoken.

Thank you. After all this disqualification bull, you have no idea how good it is to finally have something akin to good news come out of Otakon.

It really is a pity that this happened to you, and all the people who worked on the trailer AMVs. I know I'd be upset if something similar were to happen to me.

This years contest was better then the last two years, i believe.
Though it bothers me they STILL didnt move it into the top floor room like they had it in 05'. I know Vic really doesnt have much say (id think) but really really good job this year! you know how to run a good contest.

I had one problem (besides the room it was held in, lighting, etc) was that when i went to the over flow, there were at least two videos which blew other videos in the contest away. Im not even including mine, if i didnt get in, big whoop xD. but one was the fate/stay night video titled Eternal Inferno. the ONLY way i can see that NOT making the finals is if the dude was staff or it broke some kinda rule somewhere. I saw this in overflow then went to the contest going "wow...if that video didnt get in, then the contest is gonna blow me away" and i felt Romance, Drama and Action were all and all weak categories.

Also one request to Vicbond (besides maybe moving the room next year...if you do it next year) there was a video in overflow. it had no anime. it was like a poorly made rap video with polygon computer generated characters, rapping. one holding a scythe. It was ment to be bad ass...but i couldnt stop laughing: is there any where on the org or anything i can download this video xDDD.

The reason why Fate/Eternal Inferno didn't make the contest was because it already won something at Sakura-Con.

Trust me, there's a few videos in the overflow that would have easily made it into the finals if it weren't for the fact that they already won something before the cut-off date for entries.

Ok then that makes sense. i figured it was something like that. if it wasnt id suggest getting better judges. but i figured it was that.
