Curious since an HD format was accepted this year, will the AMV be shown in the high-res format? Is that supported by the screen?

The Screens Will still be SD but Taking a High RES format like HD and playing it on a computer gives a better picture then just running SD.

I'm curious as to why you think that... The computer will just re-size the video down to the SD resolution before sending it to the projector. You won't gain any quality over videos that were originally encoded at the SD resolution being used.

Like stated in our rules section the videos have been rescaled to HD720P with a proffesional transcoder. The less the video has to be re-sized by software on the fly the better the quality. *No artifacting* It gives a much better picture. So 720P is 1280x720 and the projector will be running at 1024X768 So it's making minor adjustments to the video. You always want to start with more and shrink it down then have less and try and blow it up to size.

That makes more sense now considering you aren't actually using an "SD" projector...
