I will try the one you said when I get home. The problem with the one I usually use is that when you do mpeg format it doesn't do mpeg audio, instead it does .mp3 but ironically enough if you do .avi format it has mpeg audio optionScintilla wrote:Um, what encoder were you using to make your MPEG-1/2? TMPGEnc, for example, will do the audio along with the video in one painless shot. Also, you shouldn't be using MP3 audio for an MPEG-1/2 file anyway (I forget why, but it probably has to do with the hardware that the contests use to play back the files).auman311 wrote:Please check my submissions. I have not submitt in MPEG1/2 format since I cannot convert my audio to the require formats.
So I only submitted the whole video in AVI format instead of MPEG1 video and MP3 audio
I can be quite confused when it comes to encoding and converting...

Do what you know how to do. If it doesn't conform to spec, I convert it. No big deal.
Scintilla is right about mp3 audio. The Netstream2000 does not play it. Fortunately I test all the entries first, so if there's no sound, I know to re-do the audio

OK but I just tried Scintilla's suggestion and his encoder worksVicBond007 wrote:Do what you know how to do. If it doesn't conform to spec, I convert it. No big deal.

so I am going to re-upload it.
EDIT: OK, it is not working. There is delay with the audio...
so yes I think I'll keep what I uploaded and you can do it for me hehe

TRUE FACTS!Scintilla wrote:Um, what encoder were you using to make your MPEG-1/2? TMPGEnc, for example, will do the audio along with the video in one painless shot. Also, if you make a lossless .avi with one, its alright for the most part (the audio translates smoothly), but if you use TMPGEnc, you lose quite a bit of audio quality, it sounds like it's being heard through those cheap-ass iPod earbuds. It's part of what's taking me so long to upload. Now that my video issues are fixed, I'm going to go look for my old CD's tonight to grab a raw rip so I can finally encode this sucker correctly.

I don't like to troll contests, but I also don't like to see contests not get many entries, are you really that down on entries?VicBond007 wrote:Troll videos! Win contests! Give us entries! :O
