I was speaking about Katsucon this year. The contest at AUSA was fine.Kazemon15 wrote:Nice to know my video was royally screwed. And I had high hopes for it too. I enter several contests, but if a video does well I withdraw from as many as I can.

Re: The AnimeUSA 2010 Thread (Rules are live)
This is something I research in the contests I help administer.
I go back over the last year's contest results on the 'org and count how many "major" awards any entry has won.
If it's won three or more, it's disqualified without prejudice.
I get rather irritated when I see a video competing somewhere after I know it should have been retired.
Move over, give others a chance, and make a new video...yanno?

I hope, for your convention's credibility's sake, that this is explicitly stated in the rules.Deuce Loosely wrote:This is something I research in the contests I help administer.

In fact, whenever I'm involved I make sure there is anti-trolling included.
It would be unfair to enforce an unwritten rule, ya?

Hey, I was the most motivational person here!
Sent you a PM about it.
Anyway, congrats everyone. Wow...I was so proud of my new video and thought it was really epic. Guess I was wrong.
