Anime Detour 2011 AMV Contest

Anime Detour is holding its annual AMV contest for the 2011 convention!

Entries are due March 1, 2011. You can find details about the contest here! Our rules have changed since last year, so if you've entered before, be sure to review them.

I'm also happy to announce that we are now accepting both digital and physical submissions!

In sadder news, we are putting the Whiskey Tentacle Foxtrot Contest on hiatus for a while to let participants recharge their creative batteries, but it may return in future years.

Well, some of us Chicago-ans are likely to make the trip over to MN, so you'll definitely have something new from us. On a related note, do you have AMV panel openings?

Panel submissions are open until 1/31 and we definitely welcome any AMV related ones! Just a quick side note to mention that many of our programming rooms are tech-equipped with a projector and speakers that can be connected to a laptop, but the laptop itself need to be supplied by the panelist.

I'm doing two things for this con (hopefully): Finishing a vid, and finally fucking attending.

edit:'bout an hour and a half bus ride for me. If I have the funds I should be able to make it.
edit again: since it's april 1st-3rd, it actually falls like perfectly into my break after I'm done with this quarter, so it's really just about gettin' there .

Sad to see the WTF Contest on hold this year, but I can definitely understand why. I look forward to it next year. Any chance the main AMV contest is going to absorb some of that time slot this year? Perhaps for awards?
