Now I want to submit four of the exact same video but each one has one scene that is different from the others and name them all redundancy.Vlad G Pohnert wrote:Now you've done it! (The other one is a beta with a couple flaws that got fixed in the later). Do I need to send anything else.

I did a similar joke last year, except I didn't submit the videos to same con. My videos were "Evangelion 0.01" and "Evangelion 0.11" and the second one had 5 more seconds at the end...obviously justifying a second version ! hehe...The Wired Knight wrote:Now I want to submit four of the exact same video but each one has one scene that is different from the others and name them all redundancy.Vlad G Pohnert wrote:Now you've done it! Will Ed Mcmahon come back from the dead to give out the prize money?

Yeah, AX doesn't need to show Char's Counter Attack or Tenchi Muyo in Love for the 10 millionth time.Vlad G Pohnert wrote:

..do they even show those anymore?
If you need help Vlad, I'd be glad to volunteer since I also want more con stuff to do.

Re: Anime Expo 2011 Anime Music Video Contest rules are up!
I don't mean to be a pariah but I think a mistake has been made.
I put my paperwork in the mail last Wednesday the 27th. Last night (actually 2am this morning 5/2) I sent an email with the links to download my video VIA FTP. This morning I got an email saying my entry was rejected because it wasn't received by the 30th. I understand that I had to send in hard copy paperwork postmarked no later than the 30th which I did, but that the video didn't have to arrive till the 6th of May as stated in paragraph 14b of the rules.
I can't help but feel like I'm being unfairly disqualified. I'm fine with my video not winning based on the strengths and weaknesses of my work but to be barred from entering based on an at best ambiguous rule doesn't seem in line with the spirit of the contest.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is there a system in place to formally appeal this?
Thanks!
Nicholas

In other words, regardless of ftp or snail mail, all entries had to have been sent by April 30.DigitalPanther wrote:Sorry guys. Deadline is same regardless of entry medium for the exact reasons listed above.Scintilla wrote:I'm not staff, but I had actually checked last year's thread just a few days ago for the answer to this same question. And last year, it was the same as the postmark deadline so that people submitting online wouldn't get an extra week to finish their videos compared to those using snail mail.Hofuzz wrote:Would the Deadline for sending a FTP link be April 30.. or May 6th?
So it would be reasonable (and safer anyway) to assume that the deadline is April 30 this year.
