Am I correct that footage containing a broadcast logo is disallowed?

Yes.
Your entry may not contain any commercial studio logos, only parodies of said logos. This includes DivX and website watermarks.
Copyrighted logos that have been modified are also NOT OK. If you wish to parody a logo, you can not use the original logo as a base.
Submissions to the "Trailer/Parody" category which contain the popular green approval screen beforehand may NOT contain any mention of the MPAA. • That means if you are going to parody the screen that traditionally appears before trailers, you can't mention the MPAA unless they actually DID approve your trailer, which we doubt.

I should be able to test this out in pretty good quality, now that I have a breakaway cable and easy access to a widescreen TV.

Looks like its gonna be a last minute entry. On the plus side I may actually succeeded in creating something really goddamn unnerving, which is what I'm going for.

Here's to hoping that my second time submitting to this contest will be better than last time :)

This thread is awfully quiet this year. Usually there's a bunch of people freaking out about the deadline right about now...

So I'm hoping the "body parts" in my video don't get me DQ'd. It is a PG rated movie that I imagine was intended for children to see, so hopefully it should be all good. For anyone who's wondering, I used the anime Pom Poko.

I think all does look calm on the outside, but some of us are freaking out on the inside. I know I have a ways to go before I think my video is contest ready, and few days to get that done at this point.
