Re: Katsucon AMV Showdown
This was mentioned in the NSFW contest forum for Katsucon, but I just looked and confirmed there is no spot in there for leaving contact information. So how will the editors be notified if their AMV's were recieved or even if they made the finals?
No matter what, stay calm, stay cool and live life to the fullest.

Re: Katsucon AMV Showdown
If you email jeremy.hunt@katsucon.org you can ask about if they got your AMV. They apparently didn't notice on their form there was no spot for email until I told them. Hopefully they post who actually made it into the main contest on here. About the winners I think they mail out a prize to the winners that won if you don't pick it up at the convention.Gene Starwind 21122 wrote:This was mentioned in the NSFW contest forum for Katsucon, but I just looked and confirmed there is no spot in there for leaving contact information. Re: Katsucon AMV Showdown
I keep hearing about some "new system" they were trying this year.
I guess it's true what they say about fixing things that aren't broken...

It's actually a nice idea. Just a few bumps that need to be fixed. I'm just glad Katsucon decided to post the rules on the org. I almost forgot about the deadline.

Re: Katsucon AMV Showdown
Hi, Katsucon AMV Department Head here. We have been made aware that there was no place to enter an email into the submission form, We have corrected the problem but that doesn't change the old submissions.
Please email jeremy.hunt@katsucon.org and I will update your info.
Thanks to everyone who submitted for all your hard work!
We have some great submissions so far and I certainly appreciate your dedication and patience.
I hope to talk to you all soon and if you know anyone else who submitted please pass this message on to them.
Sincerely,
Jeremy

Re: Katsucon AMV Showdown
I'm kinda glad I decided to not submit after all.
This seems like more of a headache than it's worth.

Re: Katsucon AMV Showdown
Actually given my experience over the last couple contests, this submission process was the smoothest one I have ever used. Granted I submitted after they fixed the email issue. However that would have been a problem with a quick solution, which would have been to PM KereK on here or email live programming themselves.

Re: Katsucon AMV Showdown
Actually, a lot of contestants don't use this forum and won't get the message about this unless he calls every individual to make sure he gets their email.Rainingmadness wrote:Actually given my experience over the last couple contests, this submission process was the smoothest one I have ever used. This was an oversight that should have been caught by whoever inspects these forms before they go live.
Through my years of experience with Katsu, this lack of vetting and communication is par for the course.
Whatever entries still lack email addresses should be receiving a phone call for that info.
