Hi all!
First of all the contest was amazing, as it is every year!
Secondly, I'm trying to find a copy of the Hunter x Hunter amv in the pre-show. I think it was All Too Human - By Glitzer. Anyone know where I can get it?

As we bring AX2015 to a close (once I get the awards shipped), there's one last thing I'd like to mention:
Vlad and I had a really awesome team of people who helped us run the AMV room. I'd like to extend my deepest heartfelt thanks to Pwolf, Yuusharo, Otohiko, Jason Marko, and Teddy Healy for helping to make it awesome. Each of them worked above and beyond to the point of exhaustion, and I hope they had as awesome a time as the attendees had.
That said, I also have the duty to make sure that they aren't exhausted, and to ensure that, our team needs to grow.
Therefore, we need YOU!
To those of you who love AMVs and would love to play a small part in helping to make our AMV events that much more awesome for our attendees, we invite you to consider joining our team for 2016. The unfortunate trade-off is that you can't compete in the AMV competition BUT the upside is that we do provide hotel accommodation in exchange for 8 hrs per day doing fun stuff in the AMV room that you'd likely love doing anyway.
For more details, please message me or Vlad privately.
Thank you all, and we look forward to another awesome year in 2016!

Having the source name in the title certainty can make a big difference, the biggest difference of all. That's why some of the most viewed videos are like "MADARA VS TOBI [Naruto] - MASTER OF WAR". With some sources the chances of a copyright notice coming your way is also increased ten fold. So you should weigh up what's most important in that regard. I'd prefer less issues over more views, but when you're not used to lots of views too some people that's a big deal.Tigrin wrote:Not to play devil's advocate, but I agree, you should put "AMV" somewhere in the title with the source material. I recently added it to one of my videos; it significantly increased the views, and "(source) amv" shot to the top of the search terms. There is no reason not to add it, even for music videos that aren't technically anime. It's just how people search.AceD wrote:There's over 11 million videos with amv in the title....It really wont matter hardly for most people.
I don't spend a lot of time checking my YouTube stats or anything. ._.

I know this is a bit late. But i just remember there was a panel for Best of the Pre-show Amv's. Is it possible to know the results of that?

There was no such panel. There was a "Best of the Non-Finalists" block, which basically consisted of as many non-finalist AMVs as we could shove into a 3hr block. The AMVs we played in that block are listed below, in order of first played to last played.sportsgirl1391 wrote:I know this is a bit late. * = Vid was played in the competition pre-show.
I imagine there'll be some people who might try to draw some conclusions based on the list above, such as:
1) If the pre-show vids at the end are supposed to be the "Best of the BEST of the non-finalists" and yet my vid was closer to the top, does that mean my vid sucked?
...or...
2) My vid isn't in the above roster at all! Does that mean my vid REALLY sucked?
As for question 1: This block is called "Best of the Non-Finalists", so no, your vid didn't suck. Though I will confess that it's true that we try to "save the best for last", a vid's position in the block isn't a good gauge for how it did in the judging because we do a lot of shifting around to keep it balanced for the audience's enjoyment, which means some vids that did well might get moved to earlier spots. Also, there were some vids that performed poorly in the judging that were moved to later spots on the list (or even to pre-show) simply because we, the coordinators, liked them. (For non-competition blocks such as these we indulge ourselves a bit.)
As for question 2: I will diplomatically say that there are many factors that could have prevented your vid from making it onto the roster, but keep in mind that we received 272 vids this year. 64 of them are on this list, and another 48 were in the competition. Excluding the 51 DQ'd entries, that still leaves 109(!!!) vids we simply just did not have time to show. You're welcome to contact me privately if you have questions.
