Will I ever get my prize from Acen 2008?

If you're planning on marathoning through all the installments of AMV Hell, can you pass on showing AMV Hell 2?

It's the most rushed, least essential, least funny one of them all, no one will miss it. But the reason I'm bringing it up at all is that the Martin Luther King Jr./Dragon Ball clip in it is definitely racist in its intent and I don't think that really has a place at this kind of event.

Unfortunately, AMV used to be its own separate department that ended up having some sort of breakdown several years ago (I was in the army at the time, so I am not privy to the details). AMV was then folded back into the video programming department, and my brother and I took over AMV just this year, so I have no idea what happened with previous years' contest entries. I apologize that I can't do more to help you.

Due to the fairly limited number of entries to several categories (only five in horror, for example), we don't really have a first elimination. Instead, we'll show all of the entries at the convention on Friday and Saturday, take viewers' opinions into consideration, and narrow our list down for the judges' consideration based on viewer feedback. The winners will be announced Sunday morning in main programming, and I'll post the results here and on the facebook page after I get home either Sunday evening or Monday.
