Re: MomoCon 2020: AMV & V-MIX Competition
Hey, I'm working on a Steven Universe MV, but it doesn't quite fit the theme of "The Roaring 2020s"... is that okay?

Your submission doesn't actually have to fit our theme. That's just a added bonus . But if it does fit our theme, it'll be eligible to win an additional "theme" award and $50 prizeLemonBattery wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 4:38 pmHey, I'm working on a Steven Universe MV, but it doesn't quite fit the theme of "The Roaring 2020s"... is that okay?

Re: MomoCon 2020: AMV & V-MIX Competition
Im working on one for this year, and I was wondering if there was a thread where I could show a work in progress to get feedback on it. I'm nervous because I've never submitted to a AMV contest before and I want this to be good. Also, do we need to make a a-m-v.org page for them?

Re: MomoCon 2020: AMV & V-MIX Competition
The Work in Progress forum is typically where someone would go to post a video that they haven't completed yet. And you won't need to catalog your video to post it there. Are there content restrictions with respect to violence/gore/sexuality/psychological intensity?

Re: MomoCon 2020: AMV & V-MIX Competition
It really is a case by case issue, and context matters. We've never DQed a video for gore or violence, but we have prohibited overly sexual or graphic videos from being shown during the main AMV competition. The V-MIX Competition awards are held in the AMV room, and so the content standards are looser than the AMV Contest that is held in main events.

Re: MomoCon 2020: AMV & V-MIX Competition
Friendly reminder that the AMV & V-MIX Competition deadline is less than 2 months away. And also, our theme for 2020 is.....
The Roaring 20's
The Roaring 20's
All accepted submissions to either the AMV or V-MIX Competition will be eligible to win the “MomoCon 2020 Theme Award” and $50 cash prize regardless of their genre, content, or whether or not they make finals.
Also, submissions don't necessarily need to use anime that take place in the 1920s to match this theme. AMVs that use music with a 1920s vibe, or heavily feature themes relating to that time period are also eligible.
