Anime North 2025 AMV Contest

Anime North is back for 2025!

We are excited to announce we are now accepting submissions for the 2025 Anime North Music Video contest. The deadline will be March 30, 2025. The details are located below (and will be updated on the official site shortly: https://www.animenorth.com/index.php/pr ... amvcontest)

As always, there are three competition divisions in which to compete.

Open:
This division is open to any and all AMV creators who want to pit their entry against some of the best in the business. The winner of this category will receive the Northern Lights Award.

Novice:
This division is for entrants who do not feel comfortable entering the Open category. These neophytes have never won an award or prize for their work. In the spirit of fairness, you should consider entering the Open category if you have made more than 10 videos. The winner of this category will receive the Newbie Award and a promotion to the Open category next year.

Challenge:
The videos in this category must follow the year's specific Challenge:

Momiji, our convention mascot, just wants those nostalgia vibes. Pull out your time machine because we want what was hot in the 2000s!

This year the challenge doesn't focus on any one criteria but will receive a bonus mark from our judges' panel in a popularity showdown.

Please ensure the AMV subscribes to the qualification and eligibility requirements in order for it to be accepted.

If your video isn't eligible to compete (made prior to Oct 1 2024), or if you have multiple videos you want to show, please submit them to the Exhibition category. The Exhibition videos are shown on Sunday at the convention before all of the contest videos.

I'm looking at the submission form and you still have the 2024 date on it. Is that going to be corrected at some point?
