The funny thing is, I never finished Metal Gear Solid 2. I got about half way through it or further, but never finished the whole thing. I tried to finish it while I was working on the video, but I ended up getting distracted by a shortage of time (usually from school), actually editing the video, or RPGs. I will finish the game some time.Pie Row Maniac wrote:I like the video, personally. It influenced me to go out and get Substance.Quiet Cannon wrote:Excellent. That would be the first time I've had my video shown in a contest. I would have liked to have been there to see the audience's reaction. What about anyone here that went? Did you like the video or have any comments?
The crowd had a few laughs, but since there wasn't much comedic material, my guess is that they were just intrigued.
Aside from the end of the video, there wasn't any comedy added to the video, but it was something of an inside joke to have Shinji play the role of Raiden. If you've seen the anime and played the game, you could see that they are rather similar. It just worked out so perfectly that Raiden was another whiney main character from his own story.
Glad you liked it, and thanks for the vote. Although it would have been nice to win, right now I was mainly interested in having the video shown in front of an audience.MechaTama31 wrote:Quiet Cannon: I loved Eva: Substance, and I showed that love with my vote (though it doesn't seem to have helped ^_^).
Final Doom "Amazing things will happen here soon."
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Substance "Everyone knows that it's a dangerous substance."

Was it the one with the Star Wars Camera Iris transition? The second time I saw it... it bored its way into into my head with an 18v cordless drill with tungsten-carbide bits. I found myself singing the song and then repeatedly slapping my own face as an auto-spasmodic reaction.ryouga42 wrote:What'd everyone think of Drama #3, His and Her Iris?
The cut made me wince, and I was expecting to get booed for it, but apparently it was decent since I got a few laughs at the part that was supposed to be funny...

I.. uh... wow.
Okay, well, I knew it was bad, but still..
As for "Star Wars Camera", I don't know, is that the cube effect? It was the one with the cube spin right when it cuts.
Trust me, my original attempt at that was MUCH MUCH WORSE.

If it doesn't get me drunk, explode, or have breasts, I'm not interested.

You know he probably asked for that black lead in and lead out so he could properly space your vids, when I master a project to tape there is always a minimum of 10 seconds of black between the end of a project, and the slate/countdown into the nextSkrasis wrote:Is that the guy who wanted you to have like 15 seconds of blank fottage before and after the vid? And that funky numbering system? I didnt get that but I managed to find away to do it quite difficult considering I closed the project files. Had to splice it together with virtuadub. Wierd.......

Considering the contest wasnt on tape, that point is kinda moot...
