I view myself as a good video maker because I really like the videos I make. I watch them and I go "Wow, that was awesome.", thats how I judge how good my videos are ^_^. But really, I think a video can be just as good made with WMM as they can be in Adobe... I dont watch video's for effects or very high quality (but I do enjoy decant quality =P), I watch them so when im done watching them my jaw will be on the floor... and tears in my eyes ;).

I dunno why I wrote all that... I need to lay back on the stupidty...

Heh, I'm the exact opposite MetalGear. Generally, I look at my videos, see a missed frame and go 'AAAAH! WHAT THE FUCK, HOW COULD I DO THAT!' while I miss that I perfected every other edit in the video. I have fun watching my own vids though, so I guess I am okay.

Anyways, the key to 'n00b' to me is generally something like:

Noob = Inexperience

I really don't like to degrade people who are trying to learn (unless I'm in a pissy mood, which then, is rather pleasureable) unless they come and say 'Hey man, teach me this, this, and this, NOW!'.

I'd like it a bit more if they read some guides first and came out with some awesome AMV like dwchang did. Although it depresses me when someone with little prior experience can win the VCA :P

It took me about 6-8 AMVs to get passed the horrible (Video Quality Issues
, Sound Problems, Learning software..etc) Before my AMVs become
watchable note the amount of unlinked (direct) videos on my profile :)
However, even today I see badly placed frames and things I could
have done better (there is at least one error in everyone of my videos)
. Personally I find AD's guide pretty confusing and had to have people
I know dig-me-out from under it. I'm kinda a hands on learner and
not generally the reading type... I mean, I'm reading my first new novel
in months "Footprints of God" a technothriller. Anyway, I'm part of the DVD
RIP -> Huffy =>Premiere + mp3 => Amv school or (if the series isn't
available) Decent Rare Fansub or Raw (if you can find them) => Premiere
+ mp3. By-the-way sometime next week or so my next video will
be out. Went off topic,.... Goodluck to everyone on saturday :)

Thing is alot of us (and Jalana knows what i mean) started off in winmx.Which is by far the worst place for noobs,no notpeople woh gust started vidmaking.I'm taking about assholes who would come in and whine and bitch and say there vids rule when they didn't and would constantly complain and try to put people who where good at making vids down and gust do it to annoy people.Then later come back crying.It was things like that that made those kind of impressions stick with people like me and Jalana which is thats why we hold noobs up to.Now when i made a vid on winmx my Duel Of The Fates vid and My Dark Future vid i didn't act like that because i knew i was still learning and i didn't complain when people gave a bad review or didn't like it becasue it all payed off when i surprised them with a Good Vid.There always a peak for a noob to hit there potentional and become good its gust untill then act cool know your inexperienced and need to learn and don't act like a prick.Even for veterans there always more to learn
