Can I not enter my video beause it premiered after Jan 1?

Is it true you can't enter your AMV in the 2005 AMV Awards if it was premiered after the first of 2005?

Yes. Any such videos will, however, be eligible for the 2006 VCAs.

I personally think the nomenclature is confusing and should be changed to reflect what year the participating videos are actually from, but that's just me.

A similar thing happend to me last year. Outlaw Star Trek TNG Hero in the '04 VCA's preimered one day too early to be counted for this year's nominations. Which kinda blows considering it didn't have enough time in the '04 nominations to get recognized.

I also premiered my "Under Ice" video a week too early for this year (and so it also had no chance at last year's because it was so late in December), but oh well, ya live and learn...
