The deadline posted on the website has been changed to reflect the extention.
It was January 15th, but has been pushed all the way back to March 11th to allow time for further submissions.
This is Arizona's FIRST anime convention. A lot of our attendees have never been to an out-of-state convention at all, so this will all be new and exciting for them. Even if you only have something recent (say from the last year) that you'd like to give some more coverage, send it to us. Chances are, a lot of the folks attending will not have seen it yet.
Don't be shy! Send us your stuff! Help us make our first AMV contest something to remember. =)
Thanks!

Shamless Bump
Also, the FTP server for AniZona submissions has decided to be unhelpful. We are working to correct the issue as quickly as possible. There is still plenty of time, so if you wish to submit via snail-mail, please burn your submisisons along with the information requested on the guidelines page to a CD-R and send it to the P.O. Box listed.
Thanks to those who have sent videos so far! Keep them coming!

Contest results are in. http://anizona.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=771
To those people who were not at the contest there was a change to how it was to be voted on. The change in the voting policy was due to the limited number of entries in each of the categories and the amount of time scheduled for the contest. This year there were three winners selected for the entire contest. Each attendee voted for the three videos they liked the best. Here are the winners for AniZona 1 AMV contest:
Third Place:
Creator: Ted Wang
Video Name: Stand Out
Video Source: Golden Boy
Audio Source: "Stand Out" from It's a Goofy Movie by Tevin Campbell
Second Place:
Creator: Dark Side Productions
Video Name: Ramen, Feel Great
Video Source: Naruto
Audio Source: Nutri Grain Commercial Audio
First Place:
Creator: Natasha Wadlington
Video Name: Emcee Sak
Video Source: Cardcaptor Sakura
Audio Source: Get Ur Freak On by Missy Elliott
