We really should do an AMV graveyard for stuff like this.......hmmmm.
I did the last verse for my submission.

It already has a negative rating on YouTube. 8-) Which is funny, because all of my friends say that it's better than the winner (of course, they also say pyrolord's was better than mine as well).

But talking seriously now, Dezbo21, I liked your idea of AMV Hell: Graveyard Edition. Then it actually WOULD be AMV HELL. I guess.

Murder of the body is tragic, but murder of the idea is unforgivable.

match 17 a hot topic!

MarlinBeta, I like your video quality, but I don't think it was a popular enough anime to get the point across. Though it was quite refreshing to see someone go outside the box of the obvious. It took some guts, which I obviously don't have.

God, that really would be a hell.... question is.... who would want to download it?

Pretty nice quality MarlinBeta. I haven't seen that series/movie before, so I'm not so sure I got the humor completely, maybe the other youtube people didn't get it either because they haven't seen it, which might be why you got negative ratings. I guess it needed more visual humor content, rather than story relation.

EDIT: Looks like Dezbo21 posted the exact same point while I was still typing this, lol

Graveyard

Post by Dezbo21 » Mon Apr 10, 2006 6:48 pm

I wouldn't affiliate it with AMV Hell unless I was asked to, but I am curious if I should start it as it's own contest.

What do you guys think? It would be put together like a funeral or something, and I'd need some help....Should I start it up?

You're right! I did!

Nice job man! Nice to see I wasn't the only one who thought of using the Fox logo, lol. XD I'm suprised this didn't win the round.
Thanks for the comment. To make it really funny and if I had the technical ability, I wanted to figure out how to put marijuana leaves all over Captain Smoker's uniform as he was doing his attacks. Unfortunately, I have WMM and can't do really messed up stuff, other than what you see there.

I may do something for this week's song, but I don't know yet.

Well, thank you. I am humbled that you all liked my entry. Unfortunately my computer is now a paper weight. So I can't wait till the final compilation.

Graveyard

Post by Dezbo21 » Mon Apr 10, 2006 10:56 pm

Come with me to the graveyard:

Since it seems like something that could warrant it's own discussion, I started a thread for the graveyard idea. I'm already working on a few details, but if there is enough interest generated here, I'll go ahead and get the ball rolling on it!

Who knows? It may turn up at a con someday?

Yeah. I wasn't really going for funny on that one. I was trying to make something that fit the situation (similar to the Hellsing "Viva Forever" clip from AMV Hell 3. That wasn't really funny, it was actually quite touching). Shakugan no Shana doesn't really fit the chorus or most other concepts of "Bad Boys."

However, Zarxrax has been rather clear before that for this particular AMV Hell installment, the goal is specifically to make a comedy video (unlike AMV Hell 3, which had a couple serious clips like the one you mentioned). Quote from the rules: "Once the audio source is announced, you have until the stated deadline to make a funny video thats less than 30 seconds in length. The funniest video will be chosen as the winner!" I already left a comment on your vid's YouTube page explaining that I thought it was a good video just by itself (really nice lyrics matching), but it doesn't fit into AMV Hell: CE because it's a serious piece.
