Although the AMV Hell contest is a good idea, it just doesn't seem to be good. At Youtube all the videos are posted ffrom the contest, but few have even gotten four stars, or comments.

I personally like the idea, but other people don't seem to.

Just thought you should be aware.

Oh noes!!1 AMV Hell CE isn't popular with the internet crowd! What'll we do? I mean, after all, the only reason we're doing this is because we want people to think it's good. Screw enjoying ourselves.

I personally doubt AMV Hell CE will be as well-received as its predecessors, but I'm not bothered by that. I mean, it's all in good fun.

Coderjoe wrote:I wish there were someplace people could upload their failed hellCE entries besides youtube. I want to show friends some of them, but the video quality on YT is crap, plus I can only download an FLV file, and then I need to find an FLV player.
and got the following replies:
Tekdude wrote:You could probably use Putfile. I don't know how much the quality would suffer with them, but I think as long as the file is less than 25MB, it doesn't change. I'm not sure how codecs work with them though, since I've only ever uploaded a WMV.
deuceloosely wrote:Get a Photobucket account.

I have been using them for about two years (when free accounts only afforded 25mb storage). Now, you get a full GB of photo AND video storage (100mb limit for each video). I have already posted my entries there.
I was not talking about a desire to find a place for ME to upload MY entries. I already have a place for that. I meant for everyone else to use, as I see a lot of youtube video links. I can't easilly download these videos to show to my friends, as it requires that I find a FLV player, and put up with the crappy quality youtube gives. READ PAST THE FIRST LINE, PEOPLE!
Well, if you had read the thread, you would know that many of the losers are probably going to be in a compilation too. A suggested title I saw was "AMV Hell 5: The Red-Headed Stepchild". If that's done, you will be able to see all of the entries worth seeing (and probably the ones not worth seeing).

Ah, so he did. My bad. Still, "notable entries" will still be included, so yeah. If a video isn't included it's usually not a huge loss if the quality isn't so great on youtube. Besides, it might also be possible that the quality was never good to begin with...

Ok, we have a winner for round 19! SSG wasn't available for this round, so I let Ileia vote in his spot.

Details regarding round 20 will be posted next weekend.

Congrats to Immortalarena on round 19.

I wonder if my round 19 entry was notable. Probably not...

I'm kinda curious who the runners up were for this round, meaning the number of votes....

Good goin' Immortalarena! I had an idea to have an Eva clip where Shinji asked "who wears short shorts" and its responded to by the several naked Dummy Plug Reis, but I figured someone would do something funnier. I'm glad I was right. w00t!

Nice job Immortalarena! Yours completely blew mine out of the water, but it's not like I expected mine to do well anyway.

Hehe, yours is well-edited. I like it quite a bit.
