What about the runners-up, or entries that lost out by 1 vote. They might be decent.

Still, the audio would be kind of repetitive.

Oh well, I just hope I don't burn in hell for some of the ideas I've had in mind for this round.

I know that I am not alone when I say that I definitely want to see them. If enough people would support it, I would be happy to compile it. I could have an FTP server up tonight for uploads if anyone is interested.

I aggree that it would not be worthy of being called AMV Hell, so name submissions are also welcome. Heck, we could call it "Not AMV Hell".

I have an 80gb webserver that is going to waste in my closet. If you don't want to upload anything, it's available for any of the entrants to upload to.

I'll be setting it up in about an hour, soon as I finish this damn English report.

I submitted this idea to the events chair for TekkoshoCon next year. Tell me what you think:

The equation went something like this: anime convention attendees flock to the AMV contest screenings and the AMV Hell events (all three compilations were shown at Tekko this year). However, the AMV "overflow" screenings don't get half the attention of the former which isn't really fair to those who worked hard on some contest-worthy material.

That got me thinking...

Why not have an AMV Hell-type event where pre-reg'ed attendees submit snippets, up to a month before the con, to a compilation (about 40 minutes in length) to be shown exclusively at that convention? In turn, I would send you the compilation to tinker with at your discretion and start a running "library" of DVDs in continuation of the AMV Hell series.

Song selection process as well as what to name the event / panel is still being worked on. There would also be a brief Q&A period after the screening.

The panels won't be decided upon for another month or few, so I wanted to get your thoughts before I said anything about wanting this idea to be set in stone. Do you think we can come to some viable agreement?

I came up two ideas that fit that song perfectly, though they may not be homorous, and one that would be humorous. I have two ideas for The Vandals song that I think would work well. I was really hoping someone would pick Danger Zone from Top Gun, because I came up with http://media.putfile.com/Excel-Saga-Danger-Zone a little while ago (I posted it on the AMV Hell boards).
