Says in the rules:

We don't care how old your AMV is as long as it has not been entered in a previous AMV contest within a year and has not won any awards. We will disqualify any and all trolls because you taste good with ketchup.

--------

Sounds like you want 'new' videos that have not made the convention circuit yet this year, or older videos. That a video can't have been in a contest in the last year. So my AWA entries from this year wouldn't qualify but my AWA entries from last year would? (Provided none of them have won before)?

I hope this is how it is. I have some really nice older videos that I didn't send out much when I made them, they haven't won any awards and would be a nice treat for you contest I believe.

can the on-line submissions be a link from a-m-v.org?, since I have a video uploaded here that has no credits and all that (I suppose) is requiered to enter, I´m asking this because in the rules it says "yousendit and mega upload links".

how big of a con is this? ABout how much audience do you expect to get?
I may submit something, since I have a few videos that have not been entered in anything yet. (IE my new Haruhi one) I realy don't care that much about winning or not, I care more about people seeing the video.

And why is there no romance category.... some of my romance videos are not Dramatic or serious, and wouldn't realy fit in any of the other categories. My Haruhi video might just barely fit in comedy, but it would totally be owned by any pure comedy entries ;p

Also I'm assuming links to our own hosting (rather than yousendit etc) is also acceptable for online entry right?

Phantasmagoriat: you may enter a video that has already won, it cant win but it will be shown!

omegaevolution: thats fine, as long as it matches the rules and i can download it there should be no problem!

Koi Kaze: :) yep!

Bakadeshi: I think our cap is somewhere between 2-3,000 i'll get you a better number when i talk to the con head!

Sorry about our lack of catagories, i wasnt expecint alot of entries and i barly have enough videos to fill the catagories i DO have. I figured romance would be in drama/serious kinda thing.

Your own hosting is fine, i put yousendit and megaupload because some ppl cant use one for some reason, and i can use both.

Actually, I just finished a 1 min Horror AMV that I think I could enter. It's only a audio segment from a large song, but I think that I did a good job with it. Does horror count as drama/serious? Oh, and I don't have to be present to enter, is that correct?
