Whee, I'll be living out of a hotel for the next couple months with nothing but a laptop and Netflix to keep me company. Maybe I'll actually get around to making something for this year

Here I am coming back to the org to check out Otakon AMV info, and the first thing I read was this.

LOL, this was just an April Fools Prank. Though our correspondence secretary did get a few calls on the Otakon Info Phone from people concerned that there really was no contest.
Anyway, there are other threads down the page concerning rules and what not, or you could just read the rules on Otakon's site as the posts here just mention updates like "rules available", or "ftp now available" (no drama, sorry).
There has actually been no drama this year (so far ^_-). So everyone is either happy with everything, or just not bothering to let us know what's wrong.
I'm hoping it's the first one, with everything we did to address issues from previous years (later deadline, FTP, the coordinator actually being seen by everyone [hi BTW], those AMV-Hell like videos outclassing all other comedy videos, etc). We listened to what everyone was saying, and gave most of you what you said you wanted. There is also something special we are working on for the contest this year, but it could go either way at this point so I'm not gonna say anything more than that right now.

Well thank god you were kidding, lol. I have been wanting to do another amv for a few years now and I would have started crying if what you said turned out to be true.

Mother of God. I know that there's going to be an AMV contest, and this thread gave me a heart attack. 10 days late for April Fools. I haven't check this forum in a long, long, long time.
