Quick question; the rules say that bumpers aren't allowed, but may a video in the "Tribute" category have a quick "Dedicated to (blank)" or "In memory of (blank)" type bumper somewhere in it. I'm pretty sure that one or both of the Satoshi Kon tributes that played in last year's contest had something like that.

Yes that would be allowed as that is added to enhance the artistic merit of the video.KiTo~chan wrote:Quick question; the rules say that bumpers aren't allowed, but may a video in the "Tribute" category have a quick "Dedicated to (blank)" or "In memory of (blank)" type bumper somewhere in it. Bumpers that are disallowed are things like quick studio animations before or after the video, or credit rolls at the end type of things

Thanks for the info. When I saw that Tribute is one of the potential categories this year it suddenly hit me that 2012 marks an important anniversary for the series I've been working with. So now I've decided to approach it as a celebration of that series' history, as apposed to just an amusing action/offbeat video (which it still is)

I think that one of your entries may be a better fit at Tekkoshocon's Extreme contest.Sephiroth wrote:Vids sent, should be a good contest.
