Tekkoshocon X-2 AMV Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Hi, everyone.

Tekkoshocon's deadline is fast approaching, so I would like to lay out a full timeline for the deadlines:

- For the Main Contest, you must register your video into the Contest Archive by 11:59pm EDT March 10th.
- Those who register for the Main Contest but have not yet uploaded to their FTP account will have until 11:59pm EDT March 11th to upload the video.
- Due to low submissions and different judging, the Extreme Contest only will be extended an extra week to 11:59pm EDT March 17th. The videos submitted must be an Extreme video as defined in the AMV Contest rules. No new videos registered between March 11th and March 17th will be considered for the Main Contest.

These deadlines cannot be extended, so as to give the Main and Extreme Contest judges enough time to review the videos.

After looking over the current submission list, we need more entries in every category. If possible, we'd love to see more for the "Girls With Guns" theme category as well, so that we could offer it this year.

So, if you've got videos you want to put it into a convention contest, please send them our way. We'd love to see them. As always, if you have any questions about the contest, please let me know right away.

... and that's it for the Main Contest! For those who still haven't received FTP information, you should receive it soon. Note that we need the videos uploaded to the FTP no later than 11:59pm on the 11th. Finalists for the contest will be released on the week of the convention, sometime between April 1st - 3rd.

Now, for those who weren't aware, we are still accepting submissions but only for the Extreme Contest. We need just need more entries to really make it a good late-night contest, so we've extended Extreme entries to Sunday the 17th to give those with these types of entries a little more time to get their videos submitted.

Just some main contest news for everyone:

Now that submissions are fully closed out, we have received a total of 52 videos for the main contest this year. All of our qualifying videos are now being judged and finalists are being determined for the main contest. We'll post finalists here and on the Tekkoshocon forums the week of the convention.

We have some good entries, but we could certainly use more to make this a really great competition this year. There's plenty of space left open for those who have videos way too hot for regular contests, from extreme violence and extreme bloodletting, all the way up to those naughty adult videos you made on the side!

We can't wait to see what depravity you've come up with!
