Good point on how to report illegal entries, but there's really only one rule about Pro discussion. Long as you don't spoil who made what, feel free to discuss the contest however you like!SailorDeath wrote:For any newcomers, the rules are simple:
1. Do not out someone/yourself if you know who made the video (Some of us want to stay in the dark on who made what)
2. Write a review for each video.
3. It can be serious or satire, it doesn't matter.
4. Don't take the reviews seriously, the person who reviewed the video is probably trolling (like me!)

Re: AWA 2015 The Video Art Track - Deadlines SEP 2 & SEP 6
I do suppose a note is in order about calling fouls.
Fouls are usually called during the category phase when someone finds a video on YouTube or reports it having screened at another convention. This starts an inquiry on our end... for online fouls, it's as simple as checking a link and saying 'yup, that's the video'. For convention fouls, I usually have to write the organizer of that con and verify the claim.
Fouls MUST be sent DIRECTLY to me via email (videoart@awa-con.com). Please do not call fouls here. We'll do the inquiry, and if necessary I'll pull the video from distribution and contact the creator, who is always offered the chance to move the video to The Music Video Exposition. I'll then make the necessary announcement here.
Thank you for your discretion in this matter. Fouls are a necessary, but disappointing part of things for all involved, both the editor who may have made a simple mistake, and everyone participating, who may see a favorite candidate struck from the roll.
