my receipt:

Code: Select all

Qty Description Unit Ext
-----------------------------------------
   1 Rapid Air 41.65 41.65
   1 Rapid Air 14.72 14.72

               Total Sale: 56.37
procrastination + sickness + ripoff carriers = big bucks spent. hopefully, with so many good creators having checked in, the judging will be a payoff.

I was a little hesitant to bring this up before, but I figure what the hell...the contest is all in fun.

Just a reminder: AWA has no "trolling" rules for the Pro contest beyond "never been submitted to AWA before". If you like, this could be an opportunity to get a little more exposure for a video you might have sent to one or two other cons this year.

Some people might say that this encourages "trolling", but remember that this is a contestant-judged contest, so that should counteract those concerns.

At any rate, remember that you'll be able to meet the deadline by ftp-ing your entry to us, and sending the contest entry form and blank tapes along afterward. If you have any concerns or questions about lateness, e-mail me at:

gte106k@prism.gatech.edu

and we'll see if something can be worked out.

So I should have no qualms about submitting a vid to this contest that I've sent to two other cons this year? I'm seriously considering going to AWA this year, and if I'm getting a vid shown down there, that'll definately give me much more incentive.

Oh wow, I was under the impression that it was similar to the Masters entry rules, i.e. the video should have never seen the light of day up until the judging tapes are handed out.

Would it be tacky of me to enter in a video that is pretty obscure as far as downloads/con exposure (it has only been sent to one con, didn’t win anything and, for that matter, was shown with no sound)?

I truely don’t want to be an ass and submit a pre existing video when others are working very hard to turn in originals, but if nobody really has a problem with it, I would love to partake in something that is honest to god peer judged.

Suppose I will enter this year. I doubt mine will get any attention this year though. Hopefully I can get a pretty good one together for the Exposition. *Gets back to editing his video*
