I am curious about you better acomplished editor's first vids also. I guess you could say that one of the purposes this contest could prove, is that even the more acomplished creaters started somewhere, it could serve as encouragement to the newbs ;p

If that's the case, then why do the rules say that the video can't be more than a year old. That would seem be be a disqualifying factor for most of the more acomplished creators.

Well I just wanted to keep the entries somewhat fresh. not somehting that everyone has seen already. Then again though, most peoples "first vid"s are not popular anyway, so maybe I should just change the rule to say hasn;t won an award yet or something like that. I'll decide based on how many entries I get within the next few days.

I like the idea of the whole Private Message vote. That would keep it .. well .. fair to a degree. You should go with that.

Someone brought up a good point, For those who don;t have their very first videos anymore for whatever reason, deleted it, HD crash, whatever, I will except the very first video that Premeired on the org, even if its not your very first. So long as it is your first Premeired video that other people was able to see beyond you and your imediate family/friends.

As to Quiet Cannon's post, I will allow people who have videos upto 2 years old that are first videos to submit them for entry, But they will only be accepted in the event that we don't get enough 1 year old videos for the competition. This is the most fair way I could think to accomplish this.

Ofcourse these rules are not yet set in stone and I will take suggestions/complaints to make it a better competition.

I'm in. I spent way to much time on my first vid so by the time I was finished I was somewhat experienced. In a way it's too bad I made it though, because if I hadn't I could enter Requiem.

The "PM vote" sounds like a good idea. Someone could create multiple accounts but I doubt anyone would go to the trouble and you could ask the mods to point out multiple account IP's.

Sure, I'm in - the way things are going, my first video will probably be the one I'm most remembered for, anyway. The premiere dates on my profile are goofy - the Love Hina trailer was the first entry I put on the org, but Start the Commotion?! was the first video I made.

Cool beans. This should be fun! I have no idea how the voting should occur, although I do concur that PMs are probably the best way.

I should have clarified before. If its not too excessive for the org it should be fine. Same thing with Hentai related stuff, although this area may be a bit touchy for some of the judges. If its mild nudity with humor such as Ranma 1/2 style, it should be fine, otherwise enter at your own risk ;p

For your FYI, I will need at least 5 more entries by the deadline for us to have a workable contest.

My first vid is not on the org but its a small file how would I get it to you? I think I could email it to you because its only like 2mb or something like that or I could zap it up via aim or msn messenger.
