Atonement was excellent. I also loved Channel Surfin'. The parodies on it were great. I loved how the crowd gave a sigh when that video ended. They clearly wanted more.

It was great being able to see these AMVs on the big screen with a crowd. It was a very nice setup.

Congrats to all the winners!

That's weird, with only 5 videos, they ALL had to have been REALLY good. Not to say that mine wasn't good at all, but I submitted "Out Where Dreams Come True" for Anime Boston with the specific instructions to enter it in the ROMANCE category if it exists. Then I got the note from Anime Boston that the video didn't make the final cut.

Now I'm even more disappointed that ABoston didn't pay attention to the instructions I put with that particular video, cause with so few entries in Romance, it would have definitely made the cut. I'll have to spell out my instructions further for next year's contest. *sigh*

Um, it's not an issue of them not paying attention to your instructions, your vid just wasn't good enough...

The category breakdowns:

Drama - 10
Action: - 9
Romance - 5
Comedy - 6

Adam said on the AB forum that they ranked all the submitted videos and then cut it off at the top 30. Now, Romance and Comedy were good, but not as strong as Drama or Action.

Also, yours was the FMP/ER Theme vid, right? It was, um, kinda silent...

I sincerely hope you're not implying that I suck. Just because I'm not a higher profile AMV creator doesn't mean that I automatically suck at making AMVs. You should not be so quick to judge that about me or my videos.

I saw the breakdown, and also I saw that they ranked everything according to score regardless of genre. The competition must really have been tough to make the final cut. Let the record show, however, that just because I didn't make the final cut doesn't mean I'm going to change my style of editing. I'm not one who's too keen on using elaborate special effects in my videos, and for the foreseeable future, I won't be doing too much of that.

Here's looking forward to Anime Central, where my newest AMV will premiere (hopefully).

I'm not implying that you suck, especially since editors like mckeed, SSJVegita0609, and Songbird21 didn't make the final cut either. I wouldn't have been surprised if I didn't make the final cut considering how good the contest was. That's just how it goes.

So, that was the one?

Hate to break it to you, but there was no audio in the video. Not sure where the problem occured, but no sound came out when it played in the overflow.
