im now downloading a few of this iron editors you say?

so this is the equivalent of a world tournament, is it done every year?

There is no "world" tournament, it's just "whoever the Iron Editor chooses to be in it." That said, it is divided by "region" (i.e. who goes to which con).

I thought about a global Online Iron Chef tourney last year in conjunction with the World Cup, but that opportunity has passed. Maybe in 2010?

New Jersey could field its own team for such an event: we've got me, Cyanna, VicBond007, Mike'n'Meri, SSGWNBTD, Gambitt, and who knows who else.

And the victory party would feature lots of pork roll and Tastykake.

On a slightly different note, I believe the "Grand Slam" of AMVs used to be considered Project: A-Kon, Anime Expo, Otakon, and Anime Weekend Atlanta, in that order... but the way things have been going in the past few years, I don't know how well respected half of those contests are anymore.

Me too, though I don't know how much of an asset I'd be. :? But I would definately do it for the Tastykakes!!! :D

making an amv world cup happen will require so much effort that probably no one will dare take this task, i know i wouldnt.
