Fear, anxiety, insomnia, frustration, and a desire to raid the fridge (more or less).

...fear and anxiety are the same thing, aren't they? Eh

So nervous... I feel ill. LOL. I don't expect to win, but I'm so hoping to be amongst the finalists!

They just vote for whatever they liked, even if it's not appropriate (i.e. a comedy in drama, upbeat in romance, etc.).
I can't blame them since audiences are fickle, but it's still not appropriate and proper pre-screening can sometimes remedy this.
Agreed. (tangent) That's the thing I really dislike about audience voting for contests. For every person who critically rates the work and chooses which is best, there's three other people who pick whichever one is to the anime they like best, or to a song they love. It's not something you can help, unfortunately. And I understand wanting to get in the "audience participation" aspect too.

Back on topic, however, I'm completely with you. If they could streamline everything in the prescreenings, it won't be (as much of) an issue. At least he pointed out that they will be some consideration for such things, and they won't just blindly follow the forms. After eight hours though...even split up, that's a lot. *Cheers the pre-screeners on*

Amen to that! As far as I'm concerned making the contest = winning. Anything beyond that is icing...extremely rare and hard to find icing.

x2 Though I really doubt it. I was kind of rushed, so my vid kinda wound up really sucking. :?

Well said.

May I add that just to be one of those 135 is rather a cool thing unto itself :)

Good luck to us all. I know we'll have a great show this year.

Argh I don't feel like I'll make it through.
Off beat scenes, too many white dissolves, argh...

Quick question, how does ranking with the public work exactly?
Good luck to everyone though. :D

Awesome! Only 6 trailer were entered in the contest. I got a better chance of being a finalist than if I sent my drama AMV.

Not well if that's sufficient enough :P . Nerves and nausea rolled into one! That's not quite as many as I was thinking though. But I enjoyed making my vid so that's most important. :) 135 of us really worked our tails off.

Haha, yeah that sums it up! I can't even watch the one I made right now. "D'oh! Should've timed that better! Gah! Should've used a different clip! It's no good, it's all horrible!" Hindsight's such a wonderful thing...*sigh*

...is it bad, though, that part of me is really glad I'm not the only one that thinks these things?
