I used a very VERY small part from the very start of the song. The video is used in the latest version of Watch or Die which is now in a completely different format. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfxqCqt4XoA Please leave comments as most comments about videos will be listened to I.E. if a video is crap let me know and it will be removed.
I got my signature removed for being too big. even though I've had the same picture since the AMV Hell CE was going on. In fact back then it was bigger! Ah well, I hardly post on here anyway!

Yeah. I wasn't really going for funny on that one. I was trying to make something that fit the situation (similar to the Hellsing "Viva Forever" clip from AMV Hell 3. That wasn't really funny, it was actually quite touching). Shakugan no Shana doesn't really fit the chorus or most other concepts of "Bad Boys."
However, Zarxrax has been rather clear before that for this particular AMV Hell installment, the goal is specifically to make a comedy video (unlike AMV Hell 3, which had a couple serious clips like the one you mentioned). Quote from the rules: "Once the audio source is announced, you have until the stated deadline to make a funny video thats less than 30 seconds in length. The funniest video will be chosen as the winner!" I already left a comment on your vid's YouTube page explaining that I thought it was a good video just by itself (really nice lyrics matching), but it doesn't fit into AMV Hell: CE because it's a serious piece.
The important qualities you mentioned were true, but there was another line I was basing mine off of:
What are the judges looking for? The judges will be looking for the video that they feel is funniest and most enjoyable. Editing and technical skill ARE NOT judged, although they may effect how a judge feels about your video.
The "most enjoyable" is the angle I was working. Personally, I think a lot of the losers were more enjoyable than Haunter103's winning submission. Fortunately, it's not just me with this opinion.

Don't take that the wrong way, of course. I'm not trying to say I should have won or something selfish like that. I'm just complaining about the judging (again :) ). Heh, but I guess I'll let the past stay in the past. Thanks for your comment. It makes me feel better.
Murder of the body is tragic, but murder of the idea is unforgivable.

Zarx said that he's not going to do a compilation video for the non-winning amvs in this contest

You're welcome, I did find your video enjoyable too. :) Anyway, though I do have issue with the judging for some past rounds, I don't blame the judging in this round. Zarxrax did say that this round was basically a round where none of the videos really stood out as incredibly good (on the funny and enjoyable scale, anyway). If entries like my own last-minute travesty are any indication, I really don't blame the judges for being disgusted with our efforts. XD;; The only reason Haunter won was because he was Swagier's pick, and nobody's pick was very strong apparently.

Definitely not saying your entry was bad, Haunter - 'twas cute, just not as laugh out loud funny as some of the past winners have been.

Bad AMVs

Post by Dezbo21 » Tue Apr 11, 2006 11:30 am

I just hope this round goes a little better.

I have to once again apologize to the judges for making them go through a true AMV Hell. I'll admit that some people had good AMVs, but I was just doing some research on how many reallly bad AMVs are out there, and I actually got sick to my stomach watching them, just get on You Tube, and simply search AMV. I think that is the true meaning of Hell. Any one can spot a bad video, but I didn't know how many different ways they could be bad. I got enough to fuel 2 or three contests, or set one up for a movie. But who would sit thruogh that?

Seriously, I hope round 18 goes a little better, cause I know I at least tried this time around, but who knows.

Yay! I cranked something out for this round!

...It probably breaks the rules though... Still, it was the only way I could make it funny, so it's a risk I'll take. Go me.

Well i hate to say this but I do agree with some of the people here. They're are some of this videos that arnt funny at all. Im not saying that becuase I lost but some of these were just not funny at all. I think the best thing to do is set up some sort of poll and let people decied which is the funnist. I know that might be hard to do. But if AMV hell could get enough support I think that they can pull it off. Oh and please someone watch my video and give some kind of opinion on it. Id appreciate it.
