Hey so this is my first con entry and it has the s word in it 5 times....does that need censored out before entry?

Is it okay to submit an AVI using the video codec Lagarith and PCM Audio?

Grumble grumble grumble grumble. 415Kbps upload speed - looks like a lot of people are going down to the wire on this one. But hopefully I will be making my biannual appearance in the contest this year! :)

Quick question regarding the legal side of the contest. In my trailer, there is a section where the voiceover says "from the director of ____________". If I have these words on the screen but intentionally alter the spelling of part of the title, will that avoid any issues with the lawyers (logically it should be the same as everyone mocking the MPAA name)?

Yes, this should be fine. You could also do a title slate that says something to the effect of:

(not really)
From the Director of:
AWESOME MOVIE
