Someone's been watching too much Robot Chicken. Hey, did you actually know they got that name from a Chinese restauraunt menu? Makes me wonder what's in the chicken...

Look at all the Mickey Ears on one page!

O_O
(__)

Yeah, bad picture.

Anyway, I'm sorry, I had just thought I sent the email to the wrong person. It was funny though!

It's not as funny as when I first wrote it. At that point I had two hours of sleep, no caffeine, and had watched about a dozen videos in a row for my opinion exchange. Everything is hilarious to me when I'm dazed and confuesed (not "confused," "con-fwayzed" It's a joke between me and my sister when she had misspelled the word on her IM as confuesed).
But everything's funny at that point. Like when I first finished Teen Guy Squad at 4 am, I thought I would die laughing.

The time is drawing near........If I had a little more technical skill I'd have made some sort of deathclock for this. Hmm....maybe for the time between the video being finished and it's final premeire.

Anyway! This is just a reminder that this contest will end on August 29th! (That means wednsday morning eastern time is the absolute deadline. Thank timezones east coasters!)

So, if you have an awesomely bad video get it in now!

Sailor Earth will be playing CAV in the AMV!

Just so there's something really special about the final product, I will not be posting this vid on the internet/website. Everyone that is not a winner will have to wait until Halloween!

I'll keep everyone updated on progress using this thread, and if you have any questions relating to the video, I would also be happy to answer them here.

See you at halloween!

(Just talk amongst yourselves.)

Big Problem!!!

Post by Dezbo21 » Wed Sep 27, 2006 12:38 pm

PLEASE READ!!!!!!

I'm having some technical issues with this project. (Timelines crashing, some erasing altogether.)

For some reason, it's as if the AMV Gods do not want this AMV to be made.

So, I am asking everyone if I should just make it a plain/lame compilation AMV, or should I just let this go. Have it set as a fun AMV Contest and creative exercise.

Or I could continue attempting this project and just have it come out when it comes out. However long that may take.

If it is decided that this will not be a final video, I will place the overall winner on the Craptastic Productions website.

And if anyone thought this was a fun creative exercise, I could turn this into a regular contest, if it's what people want, please give any input you may have. I am willing to consider all suggestions.

How would the plain/lame compelation AMV differ from what you are trying to do in this project?

Also a compelation AMV may be good because you could have a text opening stating that these are the most common 'self-inflicted' AMV problems, then have a title for each AMV problem followed by the AMV with that problem.

Originally, I was going to have two characters arguing over certain points of each video. I had some original animation working for me, then *BOOM* I open the project file, and it's completely blank.

For some of the videos, the audio for the vid wasn't even going to be playing, which is why I wasn't picky about it in some rounds.

I wanted to avoid megablocking(been there, done that.), and everyone was so dead set on this being a sucky video from the beginning, that this is one expectation I do not wish to meet. I felt that this should be a learning/creative tool, not some blahse, half a**ed horrible clip vid. I actually wanted to make something good, but hey if this is what everybody wants, who am I to disappoint the public?
