Uploading now! I'm so glad I decided to check the forums! I'd been keeping an eye on the site and hadn't seen any news and then checked here to realize I only had a week left! Good thing it was pretty much done!

Well *crosses fingers* third time's the charm, eh? At least I went for one of the least-used categories this time rather than most used.

Good luck everyone!

Always remember to back up your stuff!
Oh no! That is horrible news! Sorry to hear that Pwolf... :( I always look forward to your AMVs and it looks like I'll have to wait to see some of your new stuff. I hope you still have the motivation to restart/re-do the ones you lost. I heard there is a way for professionals to recover lost data on failed hard drives but it's massively expensive and it's not guaranteed to recover all the files.
I've decided to send an older video I had no intention of sending to any cons but I am curious to see how well it would do. Luckily it was moved off of that hard drive :P As for getting the data back, I am going to keep the drive until I can afford to get it recovered. Last time I had to do it, it cost me $300. This time it's a more advanced issue so it will most likely be upwards of $1000. And honestly, those videos are worth that much to me.

I did manage to get the premiere project file and some of the avs scripts off of it before it was unreadable so I could re-rip the dvds but at this point it's too much work when I'm already swamped with other responsibilities. I would need at least another week to get everything ripped, finish filling up the timeline, and then fine tune my edits. Just not enough time.

Pwolf
I can't blame you there. It would be too much stress to try to get it in now and even then, you probably wouldn't be able to make it by the deadline. I'm glad you were able to get a few things off of it before complete hard drive failure though.

Ouch, $1000 huh? I knew it would be expensive, but I wouldn't have guessed that much! It's a shame that they won't be premiering at Otakon this year, :( but I'll be keeping an eye out for them later on when you upload to the org. Good luck with your data recovery and I hope everything works out for you.

If at first you don't succeed, try again in a few minutes. The FTP server/signup page comes out of my house, so when my cable modem loses sync, it goes down for a minute or two.

Here's a list so far of entries that I have forms for, but no videos. I have not been to the post office today, so if you mailed your entry, I might have it. I will not download your entries. You must send them to me!

Studios that have NOT SENT ME THEIR VIDEO YET
===============================
Msf
Eric Brown
Amaya Studios
AuN Studios
Ash
Moonlight Soldier
Fun289 Productions
Strawberry-kiwi Productions
Miracle Falcon
UnknownMarauder Productions
Jack Shippo Productions
Cyber Ninja Productions
Studio Hybrid
Shining Finger Studios
Punch Buggy Productions
Wandering Dog Studios
Cosmos Studios

The following entries I have received, but they have problems.

Entries that need to be RE-SENT
====================
Perfect-Blue :: Video too long
Masaye Hiruka :: Subtitles need to be removed
Pwolf's Anime Music Videos :: Broken upload
Scoob :: Broken upload

That's 21 videos that won't even get a shot at getting into the contest. Git-er-fixed people ._.

Why is my video 20,795,897 bytes on the disk, but is 20, 795, 611 bytes on the FTP client? Can I verify if I sent in the wrong file?
