*waves* me!

As far as the heckling is concerned, that's just not cool. I was under the impression that the judging was open to editors only, not just anyone who would drop by. Now I'm kinda worried as to how my video was recieved, as the song alone would make it heckle-worthy from a bunch of college assholes... =/ But I'm guessing that nobody can tell me how my video was recieved, eh?
Well it's not open to just anyone. And editors and staff where the only ones invited. It's just that the colleges Anime Club was the ones holding the thing and allowing the use of a room with a projector and all, so it would be bad form if they could not come themselves.
Besides, if they had not come, only like 4 people would have shown up cause that's all the creators that were there.

As for your video, 1) We don't know what it is, 2) We may not have reviewed it yet, and 3) Even if we did, we woulden't say.

On a side note. Jason got back to me and said that only like 4 people showed up to the NYC Pre-Screening. He said that more then 10 had contacted him, but only 4 came. It did sound a little upset about it too.

Well, I had planned on being at the NYC pre-screening for at least part of it- but unfortunately it was planned on Father's Day and my in-laws decided to do something early in the afternoon instead of just dinner. Any other Sunday would have been perfectly groovy- but yesterday was a holiday, and sorry but family- even in-law- obligations take precedence. It was just a bad day to be having something, IMO. I really wanted to be there not only for the videos but to meet more of the editors in the area. I was rather upset about not being able to make it as well.

I will, however, be driving down to the King of Prussia pre-screening in two weeks, and will be sending in tapes to pre-screen more videos that way.

Yes, if you send it in right now. You should have already received an e-mail from OtakuVideo reminding you of this.

Don't. It is already late, soon to be 'too late'.

We got a cow's ass of submissions this year, and looking at the list of "Pending" submissions on Quu's server (the ones with no permission forms) just makes me itch to disqualify them all so I can devote my time to AMVs we can actually show at the con.

It is going to be a bear for the AMV Contest staff to get the pre-screenings done in time to meet the printer's deadline and then get the tapes ready for the convention in time. I ask for only the minimum amount of cooperation necessary for these tasks to be accomplished in a satisfactory manner for all concerned.
it was just sent out this morning with the mail. should be there in a day or two. hopefully i wasn't toooo late, maybe i'll squeeze in at the ass end of it :)

Well, I just hope my AMV got there, snice sent it like 2 or 3 months ago by snail-mail from RI. Right now I-wish-I-had gotten the mail service, that had a confermation system attached to it.

Waiting until the end of the month for all the DQs to be processed and counted...esp. since we didn't have a real final count anyways.
