Now for the bad news - with so many Drama vids (and quite of few of them were pretty long), the bar to become a finalist at ACA wound up a lot higher than normal. We had to cut quite a few good videos, so if you don't see your name up here on our latest finalists video, please don't be discouraged! And feel free to keep submitting to future events.

Looks like mine got in, which given this news is pretty validating. I also submitted one to Sabaku Con.

Here's a question though: How excessive is excessive profanity? I made a Rick and Morty video recently, but it's full of swears, so I figure I can't submit it, but it's worth asking about. I'm guessing any use of the f-word is grounds for disqualification?

Don't think we'd be able to take that one. Not just the swears, but the overall content's a bit past PG-13. Don't despair, though, because we're kicking around the idea of having an Adult category as part of Season 3... :3

And we're back from Anime Con Arkansas! It's 2:40 AM! I have no idea how I'm still conscious, but I'm sure you're all dying for the AMV League results.

Fun thing about this contest - the con was set up rather unusually. Main Events was out in the open, right in the middle of the conference center foyer. We got to broadcast all your amazing videos directly before opening ceremonies, and practically everyone at the con got to see this contest. And what a contest it was!
