Man I just can't freaken wait, I'm so hyped up for the contest this year! I'm going to have so much anxiety when my videos starts showing. XD
Last year we had two workshops, each about 50 minutes long, so I asked for a two hour timeslot this year. If AX comes though with the A/V tech this year, it'll be awesome.

Last year we didn't have an audio connection for the laptop, and the year before he didn't have Audio or Video for the laptop.

On topic suggestions, I've seen pixel sizes & mixing 4:3 & 16:9 footage. Anything else?

Either that or Brad and Nic can try to edit a video on the fly to her singing.
XD

well i'm planning to get there as soon as the sign ins are open so i can be one of the first to audition (i hate waiting, it builds my anxiety to much. better to just get it over with) and if i am, then my audition should be over before the panel even starts. BUT i have to be present when they announce the finalists. i'll be skipped over if i'm not there and they call me up.

this is my 3rd year trying and i'm determined!! :P ya'll can come back me up before the panel starts... :D

Figure I should put this here too. Been a lot of people asking so here's some FAQ straight from Michael/DigitalPanther.

Where will the creator's tickets be given out? At the AMV 101 panel, day 1 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm

Will there be a full reshowing of all videos at the awards event on day 3? Yes! thank Michael for this guys, he had to push to get a big enough time slot to do so.

True, but it's better to have one long block rather to split things up. I know this is a bit out of the context. But why not ask the audience if they want to ask creators (that are at the panel) on some advice with their entries? I'm sure a lot of the attendees that do go to the AMV panel are entrees that never made it in and are just trying to find out what they are missing.
I think it's a good idea, especially with the time slot that you have.

I'm also curious on creator's tickets, is 2 tickets per person that submitted an entry, or 2 tickets per entry submitted?

I know, that is just awesome. But the re-showing goes into AX Idol a bit, and it goes into the Robotech panel that I was planning to troll this year. :D

c'mon ryv, you've done this before. you get 2 tickets per ENTRANT, not entry  (still assuming the entries weren't all disqualified)

Needless to say, I look forward to sitting with my fellow creators! Just like old times :D

BTW, do we just lineup with everyone else and is there a spot for all of us or is it just site where they tell you to when you come in.. I hope we all get to sit together, it makes the contest so much more fun

On a side note, anyone who wanted to enter Animethon's AMV contest and will be at the meet and greet or con, can just hand me stuff in person if they want

To be honest every year it looks like everyone plans on sitting together but that always messes up up for some reason. Like last year and the year before that for exmaple. :|
Maybe good'ol Vlad can get us together this time.

editors always are assigned their own special seating together, usually sectioned off in the best viewing location of the room. last year we were in the nokia theatre, so michael gave us all tickets that were specifically sectioned together. the staff of the theatre were very thorough to inform us we had to sit in our assigned seats (which wasn't really necessary IMO because it wasn't standing room only or anything.) but some editors decided they wanted to sit elsewhere out of their own free will.

so in short, if everything goes as previous years, the editors will have a specific section to sit in.

Really? I remember being assigned to seating near the front and I saw you guys all the way near the back or something and was a bit confused. I had to sit with Narm and her sister at the time so it wasn't too bad, but it could have been awesome to sit with you guys. :)
Let's hope we can get that setup this year.

On a side note. Like my new avatar? Guess what it is. 8-)
