AMV Hell Championship Edition

Well, the compilation of ALLLL the entries, will be very long. Maybe 2 hours. However, anyone who has seen these entries will tell you that you definately DONT want to watch it all :p

Well, if you're seriously going to put them into a nice long deleted scene's "feature", I'd love to have a copy, good or bad. It's part of the AMV Hell legacy, and I am a collector. So please, even if you don't release it, please send me a copy of the 2 hr compilations. Would be much appreciated. ^_^

I say that we have a "free for all" type submission time toward the end. Some of my favorite AMV Hell clips are the more random ones, and this would be a great source of material to keep that tradition. Maybe one week we could skip the assigned song and submit whatever. Just a thought. (though I like the idea of having the non-used entries in a deleted scenes section)

^_^ I like the idea of throwing around a random clip with self picked audio and video clips. It would spice up CE a bit, and put them in CE at random spots, but do the round winners in order.

You could compile the crappy entries and call it AMV Hell 5: The Red Headed Stepchild

Im serious about that though. Make it like, a lost clips AMV Hell or something.

I still think AMV Hell 5: The Red Headed Stepchild fits very well.

I will consider doing something like that for the final round. Its a lot of work though, keeping track of all the source data and all.

Maybe instead of just making it rag-tag random, maybe make some rounds have just a 'theme' for either the Anime, Scene Choice/Type, Song Genre, or Song Topic.

So you could have a "Getting Hurt Comedically" week, and that would be open to entries of people like Keitaro from Love Hina (as well as other Comdey Punching Bags).
Or a "Serious Song/Non-Serious Scene" week, where you need to use a song with a bit of a Serious tone to it, and then manage to break the seriousness with the footage.
Maybe a "US Top 10" week, where you need to use one of the songs in the US Top 10.

Edit: Couple of more ideas....
--"Mecha Level Up"
Because we all know that in Mecha Anime, there will always be some point where the main character either gets a significant upgrade for their Mech, Discovers/starts to use a new feature, or gets a whole new Mech that looks different.
--AniDB Category
They have their Categorys. Why not restict choices to one of those....
--"Confuzzled"
Scene has to show pure confusion.... Music has to match...
--"Stand Up Routine"
Take one Stand Up Comedy Routine, Add Anime. Mix, and laugh.
--"End of it All"
Only allow the last episode of an Anime Series, or the Last-ish scene of a Anime Movie.
--"Catch-phrase"
A quick Catch-phrase put into an Anime scene - We had the Auska/Fat Albert one in AMV Hell 3... And the Azumanga/Hail Hitler one as well...

So that sort of format would lead to weeks which are more free-form, but could still provide a benchmark for judging.

Is the 7th the deadline for the final entry or something? I'm loosing the dialup I've had for 3 days before I get on something decent.
