Sweet, my video is done...however I'll probably spend part of tomorrow polishing it a bit more, expect an entry from me late tomorrow ^_^...

Whew. Okay. I've been on an editing marathon for the past three or four days, but I now know I've got a video set to be entered. It should be in in a couple hours.

Katsucon feels too much like MY convention to me - sounds self-centered to say, and it is, but it's always been right next to/on my birthday, depending on the year, and it's at, quite frankly, my favorite convention hotel yet. I can't pass up making an awesome weekend better - I've gotta have a video for this con.

...Now here's to hoping that I don't have anymore technical difficulties.

I love even more when that enthusiasm translates into submissions.
Especially when said entries make our deciding the finalists difficult due to their quality.

Just a quick question: for file names for the movie file and the .txt, it's alright if we use our editing name, right? Like, "[miracle falcon] AMV title here?"

...Also, will we get any confirmation if our video was properly sent, and, if it was not, will we get a second chance to submit it, or is that it?

1. As long as the title on the video file and the info file match, either your real name or studio name will do for the file name. If you're asking whether or not we use real names or studio names on the ballot and title screens, we use the aliases unless we're not given one and we have to default to the given name.

2. As far as confirmation, Gene is notoriously difficult to reach. If you absolutely need to know if your file plays as it should, send both of us the link / info. You'll hear from one of us for sure within 24 hours.

3. He spoke of a possible deadline extension last week but I haven't heard from him since. It would have been for the 19th if he's gonna do it. Just to be safe, keep sending your entries until that time but DON'T take it for granted and procrastinate. If you have your entry ready to send, do it tonight! If what you have is incomplete but you need a day or two to finish, go for it. I know it sounds sketchy but I'm just the assistant head of AMV for Katsucon trying to help keep it all together for the department. Anyway, if it's done then send it now to both of us. Otherwise...HURRY!
