I want to say I can post it tonight, but that probably won't happen. This is more than I expected to get. I'd have started the event sooner if I had known. I have to get the results submitted by 9:00 AM (EST) Sunday. So, shortly after that, most likely.

It's pretty incredible that there's only a few days turn-around between contest deadline and finalist results. And the convention itself is in what, two weeks? Madness...

The entire contest is played on the same PC as all entries are submitted. I find we get drastically more entries the closer to the actual convention. I'd make it even closer if I didn't have to send off the playlist to print ballots.

I am trying very hard to come up with a playlist for the AMV Contest. There have been several peculiar situations. There will be no Trailer or AMV Hell genres due to lack of submissions for those genres. Several AMVs have been rated NC-17 by the pre-screening judges, but those AMVs were not submitted as NC-17 AMVs. I am waiting on the responses of several editors before making executive decisions regarding the placement of their AMV(s). If there are any editors who do not agree with how I would like to place their videos, this will directly effect the playlist.

I am giving editors until tomorrow to get back to me, but if I don't hear anything back, I'll have to go ahead with what I have planned out.

The following editors will have 1 AMV shown during the AnimeNEXT 2011 AMV Contest. These persons had the highest rated AMVs for each of Drama, Action, Sentimental, Upbeat, and Comedy. There will be no Trailers or AMV Hell genres, due to lack of submissions. I apologize for the delay. Fortunately, everyone is on board with the genre switches I had in mind. The playlist and editors for the NC-17 screening will not be listed. I am pretty sure I have contacted all persons participating in the NC-17 screening.

We are still accepting submissions for the General Screening, largely to give editors a chance to re-submit AMVs that were unable to be played during the pre-screening. We are still accepting submissions for the General Screening until June 3rd, 2011 at 11:59 PM (EST).
