This year, I think only this year too, they had pre-screenings that each person who entered a video was invited to. I think they had about 4-5 seperate ones in different locations each time so that people could go see @ least 1 prescreening and put in their 2 cents. Sorry I didn't explain that before :oops:

Anywho, 3 hours of winners? Heh, interesting. I'de get into how people actually stay the full 3 hours and look through all of them etc. etc., but then that of course, would be another topic. They did discuss that a bit in the "Otakon 2004 Finalists" thread, though, if yah wanna take a look @ come voting opinions.

I'll continue this later.....the MAN is watching us (at work) 0_o.

I've been to Otakon 2 years in a row, and I've sat through 3 hours of winners both times. It's just that enjoyable.

Wait...3 hours of winners? Do you mean finalists? Or winners and runner-ups? I hunted back through the archives, and for 2003, they only listed five winners. With honorable mentions and runners-up, there's 15 vids total. At five minutes each, that makes 75 minutes, not 180. What am I missing?

Again, not being sarcastic, I really don't know, not having ever been able to make it to Otakon.

(PS, technically, our main showing is winners + 3/4 of Masters' = 3 hours.)

Winners = Finalists.

Sorry, my fault. ^_^

when you say 'overflow' to us. . that means too many people in the room, not too many enteries in the contest. ;p

and as far as a creator doing this 'for the audience,' thats a whole `nother can of worms we got the lid on about 5 years ago. :wink:
