Thanks guys, glad to read that.
Not award winning quality is correct, not the best I've ever done, as said, more or less just for fun. And if it was fun to the audience, hence that's good :)

Drama was probably the biggest shocker for me. The audience went crazy for the Evangelion video, but I felt like it was a bit more action oriented than Drama. I voted for "Versailles Paradise" because I thought it followed very closely to the story of the anime and you could really feel the emotion that the story showed. Upbeat was also another shocked, as I felt Vic's video was more of a MAD and that it would go over the audience's head. I believe I voted for "Three Outta Four Ain't Bad" in that category. In any case, it was a very nice contest, and definately an interesting year for the winners ^_^ I'm sure everyone has their own opinion though.

*wewt*

I won Best "Themed" video.

Not entirely sure how or why I won, but I guess its kinda kewl. I'm actually more interested in whether or not I came in 2nd or 3rd.

Congrats to everyone else who won!

VicBond007, on the video's info page, wrote:Still, I believe (no pun intended) that this is the first MAD ( http://gaijinfactory.aniport.com/ ) to compete at an American convention...
So you're not the only one who felt that way. :)

Also, the Upbeat category was really close -- Vic won by less than 5% of the vote, IIRC.

And speaking of votes, it was really good to see a 100% voter turnout increase from last year. :D

Quu brought the numbers to the party afterwards; Vic won by 12 votes.

As usual, I remembered to vote about an hour after it was too late
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

ANTDrakko I believe if I remember correctly from the closing ceromonies that they said your video was 2nd place.

Nice work.

And it was great being on the pannel with you and Vic this year.

I liked it, but there's only so much you can take of pitching and hitting for however long it was.

yay, congrats to the winners and excellent work by everyone who participated. the winners list was a bit of a surprise to me, but since i forgot to submit my ballot i have no grounds on which to oppose it (but i would suggest they hand out golf pencils with the ballots next year).

jcd's i thought was one of the better videos in the upbeat category.

I was told that they were supposed to have pencils; I think Geoff said at the announcement of the winners that the pencils were lost somehow.

They did hand out pencils at the first amv showing this year but there weren't enough so the people beside you had to share them with you, but Geoff didn't recieve many of them back.
